Horizon Pointe, Lacey WA
Horizon Pointe in Lacey WA was built as a master planned community spread out over 240 acres at the south end of Lacey. Homes in Horizon Pointe began to go up in 2005 with plans for approximately 1400 single-family homes, townhomes, and condominiums. Multiple builders participated in building the homes in Horizon Pointe, creating an appealing mixture of styles and floor plans. Today, the neighborhood is virtually completed, with only a small number of lots remaining vacant.
Horizon Pointe feeds into the North Thurston Public School District. Residents enjoy the convenience of 2 elementary schools immediately adjacent to the neighborhood. Dining and Shopping
There are endless opportunities for shopping and dining in the greater Lacey/Olympia area. However, Horizon Pointe residents need not travel far for most of their needs. Grocery shopping is just a short distance away with both Safeway and QFC conveniently nearby. Home improvement needs can also be satisfied just down the road from Horizon Pointe at Lowe’s Home Improvement Center. Other familiar brands you’ll find near Horizon Pointe include Starbucks Coffee, McDonalds, RiteAid Subway, Baskin Robbins and Burger King. Some excellent dining options are very close to Horizon Pointe. Hop Jacks offers a wide menu and full bar. Farelli’s Pizza offers pizzas, pastas, calzones and a full bar. Fire Creek Grill offers great meals and full bar. The Mayan Restaurant is a great place for Mexican fare. Puccini’s Venetian Subs is a great stop-off for lunch or you can check out Daddy O’s Burger Drive Up. Several excellent options for teriyaki, sushi, pho, and other Asian cuisine area available as well.
Parks and Recreation
Horizon Pointe residents enjoy a city maintained park right within the neighborhood. There are also several playgrounds within the neighborhood. There are many other great parks and trails just a short drive away including Western Chehalis Trail, a 22-mile multi-use trail frequented by walkers and cyclists. The greater Olympia/Lacey area has several public golf courses to choose from, catering to a variety of different skill levels and budgets. The closest course, however, actually borders the Horizon Pointe neighborhood on the north. Capitol City Golf Club is a high quality 18 hole public course for golfers of all abilities.
Horizon Pointe is located only 8 miles from the State Capitol and Downtown Olympia and 19 miles from Joint Base Lewis-McChord. There are multiple public bus stops in Horizon Pointe and an Amtrak station within 1 mile.
